West 22 pool concept

John and I want to thank all of you for your efforts in making our Grand Opening party yesterday such an incredible success. The property looked fantastic thanks to the extraordinary, flawless execution by the Preston Partnership, B+C Studios, Fortune Johnson  and the Howley Landscaping teams. Our Ambling Army once again left no detail undone in the event planning, food and decorations. Our City of Kennesaw officials, our students and all of the stakeholders in this development left feeling and knowing they are now part of an extraordinary new community. We at South City Partners could not have been more proud of West 22 and all of those who have helped to create our success. I have great confidence that we will finish this effort with the same flawless experience when our project is complete and our 850 residents move in this summer.

Again, our sincerest thanks for all you have done and are doing for West 22.

B+C Studio Develops Farming Community Master Plan

Earlier this year B+C Studio teamed with Farmer D Consulting to provide Erdman Holdings a master concept plan for a new agriculture based community in Middleton, Wisconsin (near Madison). The community features multiple types of home sites focused on a large central barn and farm. It also features neighborhood green spaces, pocket parks and trails. The work included a 3 day long charrette with the owners and engineer and was followed by further design sessions among team members to produce a refined master plan and various other concept sketches for zoning.

Master Plan for Pleasant View Ridge – Middleton, WI.

The site has been farmed for many years and the new home sites will take advantage of the cleared land and leave the steep slopes and wetlands intact with little if any disturbance. Other features of the site include a proposed wind mill, natural play area, community garden plots, perma-culture in common spaces including orchards and berries and all amenities are connected with a substantial network of trails and sidewalks.

The attached plan is the farm focus area.
